Roz De Vile
LMM Learning Director
Roz grew up playing the violin and piano, and as such is a strong advocate for the opportunities playing a musical instrument can provide for children and young people. After focussing on composition and violin performance as part of her music degree from King’s College London, she spent several years at artist management agency, Intermusica, supporting the international careers and commission schedules of composers and performers with an affinity for new music. Most recently she led the management and development of an East London primary school’s music programme over a three year period, including overseeing the planning, fundraising drive and construction of a designated music centre for the school and community.
Roz is still a keen violinist and, although these days her audience usually consists solely of her daughter Mia, she also enjoys performing with her string quartet with whom she has played at numerous venues across London and the South of England, as well as in northern Thailand as part of a charity project working with a children’s string orchestra.
