Pathways students celebrate another successful year!
In celebration of all the hard work the children and teachers of Pathways 2016-17 have demonstrated this year, London Music Masters held the annual Pathways Celebration! on Thursday 22nd June. The event was an opportunity for the students to play for family and friends, reflect on the many experiences and achievements of the year and also enjoy some fun with each other.
Students from both Ashmole & Jessop Primary Schools wowed the audience with their solo performances and impressed with their dedication and commitment to their musical learning in the past year.
As well as this, the audience were able to hear Elena Urioste, a previous LMM Award Holder, play some incredible music with pianist Annabel Thwaite. This year Elena has visited the schools twice to work with a number of children both on and off Pathways.
Elena found her experiences working with the children this year and on the night itself extremely rewarding, saying “You have no idea how much the young London Music masters violinists inspire me”.
The students will continue to work hard on Pathways and at their violin lessons going into the 2017-18 academic year, although two of the students in Year 6 will be leaving the programme and primary school for new challenges ahead at secondary school. London Music Masters and the school are proud to say that both students will be attending Kingsdale Foundation School on full music scholarships and will also start Saturday music school at Junior Trinity at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance next September.
Congratulations to all our Pathways students on their continuing musical journeys!
