Apart from being a professional violist, Danusia has trained in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Kodály and as a Colourstrings teacher. She has taught general musicianship at Junior Trinity in Hampstead and currently works as a viola tutor in the East London Late Starters’ Orchestra, where she also conducts various ensembles. Danusia joined London Music Masters in 2013.
Danusia studied at Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland and at the Music Hochschule in Luebeck, Germany. In September 2007 she joined Rivka Golani’s viola class and won first prize at the Herbert Lumby Viola Competition. She graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2010 with a BMus (Hons) and from Trinity Laba in 2013 with Masters of Music. In 2015 she completed her studies with an Artist Diploma in Performance.
Since joining the London music arena, Danusia has performed with various London-based chamber ensembles and orchestras. She has a great interest in contemporary music – performing and recording pieces written for viola. In 2013, Danusia participated in the International Bartók Seminar and also took part in masterclasses in Sweden, Hungary, Germany and Poland. She continues to perform in venues throughout London and is in high demand as a teacher.
