Laurine graduated from the Royal College of Music as a postgraduate advanced student with distinction, studying with Ani Schnarch and she obtained a Masters Degree in 2007. She was awarded a Gold Medal with unanimous decision in the Conservatoire de St Maur whilst she simultaneously followed an orchestral course at the Conservatoire de Paris. The latter of these courses presented the opportunity to meet and work with conductors such as S. Baudo and R. Casadesus.

As an orchestral musician, Laurine played with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Preisteigne Festival orchestra, Brighton Philharmonic, Bath Philharmonia, Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra, Primavera Ensemble, the Northern Ballet Theatre. Laurine is on trial with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra and Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Laurine also plays in a Duo and Piano Trio. Concerts highlights have included recitals at St James's Piccadilly, the National Gallery, Dorchester Abbey and various festivals such as the Lake District Summer Music, Festival International de la Hague, and concerts in France.
