Anna was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. At the age of 16, she was offered a place at the Royal College of Music to do her Bachelors degree; however, she chose to stay in Russia, graduating with a First Class Diploma from St. Petersburg Music College by the State Conservatory. She then moved to the UK study with Rimma Sushanskaya at the Birmingham Conservatoire, having won a full scholarship, and graduated with First Class Honours. She was subsequently granted a full scholarship to study for a Masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music from September 2009.
Anna has established a reputation as a soloist, playing Prokofiev's 1st violin concerto with the Birmingham Conservatoire Orchestra and Lark Ascending with Birmingham Philharmonic as part of the Environmental Proms at Birmingham Symphony Hall, conducted by Michael Lloyd. She has also played concertos with most of the amateur orchestras in the West Midlands and Yorkshire, and made her International debut in April 2009 with the Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic Orchestra in Romania, playing the Mendelssohn violin concerto. As an orchestral player, she has led all the Birmingham Conservatoire orchestras as well as CBSO Youth conducted by Andris Nelsons and YMSO on several occasions, which included leading the orchestra in St. John's Smith Square, London, Westminster Cathedral and on tour to Italy.
